I am a Registered Dietitian in private practice, working with clients who want a deeper understanding of nutrition so they have the tools to improve their relationship with their body and food. I earned my master's degree from Loma Linda University, completed my dietetic internship at Eisenhower Medical Center, and have spent a decade working with people of all ages, sizes and genders struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating in the inpatient, residential and outpatient levels of care. I work with people at all stages of eating disorder recovery, and people who want to improve their relationship with their food and body.
All foods bring nourishment, satisfaction, comfort and energy, and all foods can fit into a healthy, happy way of eating. We'll explore your favorite foods and your relationship with them; better understand how a history of dieting (or simply living in our diet culture) has affected your mental health and your metabolism, and help you walk away from diets forever while working toward body autonomy and developing comfort within one's body.
While body changes may occur in the course of our work together, it is never the primary goal. In my practice, we review labs and vitals and discuss how various nutrients behave in the body so you can make informed decisions about what works best for you.
This work is for everyone. I am passionate about serving all cultures, body types, genders and sexual identities. Hundreds of people have confronted and overcome their food, eating and body image issues through this work. Together, we will identify and explore dietary concerns and your relationship with food to move toward body acceptance and food freedom.
